Vaping For A Smoke-Free 2017

If you’re a cannabis consumer looking to make some positive changes for 2017, the good news is there are many ways you can medicate with cannabis other than smoking it to achieve the desired results — you can dab, eat, apply a topical, and even vaporize it!

Although there are many debates assessing the pros and cons of traditional smoking compared to vaping cannabis, from our experience and from those that we’ve heard feedback from, vaporizing provides a more discrete, cleaner, and healthier experience – plus, did we mention it’s smoke-free!

Not to be confused with e-cigarettes, vaporizers come in many shapes and sizes. Tabletop and volcano style vaporizes are more commonly found in vape lounges, and the oil, wax, and plant based vape pens are the ones that are more portable and so typically used with discretion out in a public forum. Indoor or outdoor there are hundreds of rigs and mods that you can design for yourself.

For those reading this that don’t have any experience with this option, vaporizers are new little devices you see everybody huffing and puffing on nowadays… except, they aren’t so new. Vaporizing has been around for many years but only these past couple years have we really seen a rise in popularity.

As Truth on Pot explains, “the combustion of marijuana still produces several known carcinogens and tar, which can irritate the lungs and lead to chronic bronchitis.” Vaporizers were mainly designed to overcome this issue. By heating marijuana at a lower temperature than combustion, the devices produce an inhalable vapor that still contains the active medical ingredients in marijuana (cannabinoids), but without the harmful by-products.”

This doesn’t mean that vaping is the only way to be medicating, because lets be real here for a second. ANYTHING that you are putting into your lungs isn’t necessarily going to be doing you any favors, and there shouldn’t be just one way to take your medicine. That being said, if you have been smoking for a while eventually it’s going to take a toll, and if you are looking for a healthier smokeless alternative we highly recommend making the switch to a vaporizer.

Look into it yourself, do some research if you’re not too sure, it’s definitely worth a look! At the end of the day it comes down to preference, some people like edibles, some like vaping, and some just like smoking a good old fashioned joint.  Keep exploring and be sure to share your questions and comments here!
